At just after midnight on July 7th, 2024, 16-year-old Julia Egler reported a break-in at her home, describing how someone smashed the sliding glass door and murdered her mother and her mother’s boyfriend while she hid in her room. Officers arrived at the crime scene, but inconsistencies in Julia’s account raised suspicions. As evidence emerged, police began to uncover a different narrative surrounding the tragic events.
