In January 2023, 32-year-old Massachusetts mother Lindsay Clancy was accused of killing her three young children Cora, Dawson, and Callan before attempting suicide. The shocking tragedy drew national attention, with her defense claiming she suffered from postpartum depression and severe overmedication at the time.
Update:
Since then, Clancy has pleaded not guilty, with her lawyers pursuing an insanity defense. She has been ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation by prosecution experts. Her trial, originally set for late 2025, is now scheduled for January 2026. Recently, a judge also ordered The New Yorker to hand over interview materials from her husband, which could provide insight into her mental state before the killings.
