The Murder Of Amanda Carter [Australian True Crime Documentary]
A gruesome murder case in Tasmania that dates back more than two decades is making headlines again, with the perpetrator set to be released from prison after serving less than half of his term. Amanda Carter was slain killed when she was 22 years old in 1980, but it took almost 14 years for a former Hobart cab driver to be convicted of rape and manslaughter.
This was one of the first cases in which DNA technology was used in Australia. Gerald Wayne Hyland's release from prison has reopened an old sore in the Tasmanian community.
