Show Notes

16 year old Cyntoia Brown needed money, and she only knew one way to get it: sex work. But after 43 year old Johnny Allen picked her up at a Sonic and brought her back to his house, she shot and killed him. She was arrested for murder, and the prosecution argued that she'd shot him with the intent to rob him. They said she was cruel and merciless and evil. But after facts about her life and the events leading up to the crime came out, people started to wonder: who was the real victim in this situation?
