Graeme hosts this biweekly Canadian podcast with his wife, Kate, where they bring awareness to crimes, mysteries, and missing persons in the Great White North. Together, the duo focuses their narratives on the victims and their families, keeping their own identities anonymous. In the episode, Bob and Graeme chat about their podcast origin stories, moving from a career in comedy to a career in social work, and the ethics of true crime podcasting. They then discuss the tragic murder of Trina Hunt. In the winter of 2020, Trina’s husband returned to their suburban, Vancouver home after work to discover that Trina was not there. Having not seen or heard from her since early that morning, Trina’s husband reported her missing but searches of the area around their home turned up nothing. Months after her disappearance, Trina’s remains were located off of a remote road in Hope, British Colombia. The location of this discovery raised some eyebrows due to its connection to a story given by Trina’s husband about the couple’s movements leading up to Trina’s disappearance, but charges have yet to be brought in the case.To suggest a guest or request an interview, please visit us at TrueCrimeBinge.com Follow us on all forms of social media @TrueCrimeBinge Today's Sponsors:joincrowdhealth.com/fit - Get your first month free and after you've been a member, a Fitness Wearable. betterhelp.com/binge - Get 10% off your first month.

Ep 5555: Justine van der Leun

In this episode, as part of Domestic Violence Awareness month, Bob is joined by independent journalist Justine van der Leun, host of the upcoming new podcast “Believe Her.” The pair cover a wide range of important topics, such as bias in the criminal justice system, what it means to be a “perfect victim,” and the division of gender roles in relationships. These discussions lead into an in-depth conversation about the subject of the Believe Her podcast, the case of Nikki Addimando. In 2017, just after a visit from CPS due to concerns of domestic violence that lead to an altercation, Nikki shot and killed her boyfriend. She took her kids and ran, only to later turn herself into police. Despite an extensive and thoroughly documented history of extreme physical and sexual violence perpetrated by her boyfriend, Nikki’s claims of self-defense would ultimately be dismissed by a jury, and she was convicted of second-degree murder. Nikki is still serving time in prison, but her case serves as a terrifying and tragic example of the difficulties survivors of domestic violence face in the American criminal justice system, highlighting the biases that result in a staggering number of women being imprisoned after attempting to free themselves and their loves ones from danger at the hands of their partners. To suggest a guest or request an interview, please visit us at TrueCrimeBinge.com Follow us on all forms of social media @TrueCrimeBinge Today's Sponsors:zocdoc.com/binge - Download the Zocdoc App to sig-up for free and book a top-rated doctor.

Ep 5454: Jamie Pultz

This week, Bob interviews Jamie Pultz, creator of the “Beenham Valley Road” podcast, as part of October’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month series. A former police officer in Queensland, Australia, Jamie left the force and launched his production company, Six10 Media, aptly named after the police code for “community assistance.” Since its inception, Jamie has produced several investigative podcasts, including Beenham Valley Road. Before diving into the subject of the BVR podcast, Bob and Jamie discuss how Jamie went from “fighting crime to fighting grime,” what it’s like to switch careers, and Bob’s new book idea. They then transition into a discussion of the case, the death of Kirra Mcloughlin. While in the police force, Jamie encountered Kirra during a domestic violence call, during which she refused help from law enforcement. Six months later, Kirra died from a traumatic brain injury. Her boyfriend claimed that Kirra had gotten into an altercation with his sister during a social gathering, but he did not call for aid until later the following day. When Kirra was taken to the hospital, it was reported that she had over 100 bruises on her body, and she was ultimately pronounced brand dead and taken off life support. To this day, no charges have been brought regarding her death, but thanks to the Beenham Valley Road podcast, public attention is being brought back to the case. Ep 5353: Noel Vinson & Sonya Lowe

This week, Bob is joined by the creators of the “Evidence Locker” podcast, host Noel Vinson and producer Sonya Lowe. Sonya works behind the scenes to research, write, and direct each episode of the Australia-based podcast, while Noel utilizes his background as a rap-artist to narrate a new story each week. The dynamic duo chats with Bob about their accents (or lack thereof), what lockdown is like down under, and the differences in producing film vs. audio content. They then dive into the 1989 mysterious death of Cindy James in British Colombia. Cindy, a nursing school graduate, began experiencing incidents of harassment shortly after separating from her husband, ranging from creepy phone calls to apparent attempted murders, with Cindy being found drugged and tied up on multiple occasions. Police were skeptical, however, with many wondering if Cindy was staging these attacks. The harassment continued for almost a decade until Cindy was eventually found dead in an abandoned building. Despite the circumstances of her death, many still doubt that Cindy was the victim of a crime, but the truth may be lost forever. To suggest a guest or request an interview, please visit us at TrueCrimeBinge.com Follow us on all forms of social media @TrueCrimeBinge Today's Sponsors:joincrowdhealth.com/fit - Enter code "binge" at sign up for your first month free and, after you've been a member, a free Fitness Wearable.shudder.com - Use promo code" binge" to try it for free for 30 days.betterhelp.com/binge- Get 10% off your first month.

Ep 5252: Margot

Bob interviews Margot, creator and host of the “Military Murder” podcast. A recent veteran and military wife herself, Margot uses her platform to cover cases involving perpetrators or victims (and sometimes both) who are members of the military. Bob and Margot discuss the nuances of military life, the challenges of having teenage children, and the apparently misleading spelling of the name “Margot.” They also discuss the bizarre, wild, and somehow barely-heard-of case of the Sickles Army Airfield public decapitation. Stephen and Diane were a young couple stationed at a US airfield in Germany in 1993. Troubles in their relationship would eventually lead to a brutal attack in broad daylight, with several bystanders witnessing what would eventually become a murder and decapitation. What followed after, however, was even more shocking…To suggest a guest or request an interview, please visit us at TrueCrimeBinge.com Follow us on all forms of social media @TrueCrimeBinge Today's Sponsors: betterhelp.com/binge - Get 10% off your first month.

Ep 5151: Todd McComas

This week, Bob chats with Todd McComas, host of the “10-41” podcast. An ex-marine and police detective turned comedian, Todd launched the first season of 10-41 in 2020, conducting a deep dive into the Indiana Burger Chef Murders alongside one of the lead detectives on the case. Since then, 10-41 has become an episodic, true crime storytelling podcast, where Todd frequently interviews other investigators, and sometimes even the criminals themselves. Bob and Todd discuss Todd’s relationship with Colts football legend Pat McAfee and his involvement with the Tiger King phenomenon. After commiserating over the difficulties of starting a career in stand-up comedy, they also discuss the details of the Burger Chef Murders. Just outside of Indianapolis in 1978, four young employees of a Burger Chef restaurant went missing after working a shift together one night. Police initially assumed the kids had decided to go out partying with money from the till, despite evidence to the contrary. Two days later, the bodies of the four employees were found in a forest over 20 miles away. Despite witnesses and links to other crimes, the case has remained unsolved, and it is likely that those responsible will never be brought to justice. Ep 5050: Amanda Doyle

In this week’s episode, Bob interviews Amanda Doyle, the host of the new “Reward Offered” podcast, all the way from Australia. Amanda’s aim is to highlight cases that have a financial reward available, in order to bring attention to cases and help motivate individuals to come forward with information. Bob and Amanda discuss their favorite ways to drink bourbon, the pandemic situation in Australia, and differences in criminal investigations across the pond. They also discuss the Murphys Creek Murders, the subject of the first four episodes of Reward Offered. In 1974, two Australian nursing students were traveling together, when they suddenly went missing. Shortly after their disappearance, their bodies were found near Murphys Creek. Witnesses reported hearing screaming in the area on the night of their disappearance, and others have come forward in the years following, leading investigators to conclude that the two women had been brutally raped and murdered by a group of local men, though no charges have been brought in the case. Amanda’s investigation into the murders, however, has uncovered some inconsistencies indicating things may not be quite as they seem… To suggest a guest or request an interview, please visit us at TrueCrimeBinge.com Follow us on all forms of social media @TrueCrimeBinge Today's Sponsors: stamps.com - Click on the microphone at the top of the home page and type in "binge" for a 4-week trial and free postage, with no long term commitments. Ep 4949: Morgan Wright & Steve Murphy

This week, Bob interviews the hosts of the “Game of Crimes” podcast, Morgan Wright and Steve Murphy. Together, Morgan, an experienced state trooper and detective, and Steve, a DEA Special Agent, cover notorious cases, often interviewing those directly involved. In this episode, the guys give Bob a hard time about being a firefighter, share stories involving tragic coffee accidents on the job, and discuss common issues related to police interrogations. They also cover the takedown of notorious drug lord and narcoterrorist Pablo Escobar, and Steve’s involvement in the case as lead investigator. Pablo Escobar founded and led the Medellin Cartel in Colombia. Throughout the 1980s, he and his cartel essentially created the demand for cocaine in the United States, establishing the first smuggling routes from Colombia and raking in billions of dollars. Pablo Escobar is also responsible for a shocking number of deaths, turning Colombia into the murder capital of the world. Morgan and Steve dispel many of the myths surrounding Escobar and shed light on just who the world’s first narcoterrorist truly was – a violent and evil man.To suggest a guest or request an interview, please visit us at TrueCrimeBinge.com Follow us on all forms of social media @TrueCrimeBinge Today's Sponsors:betterhelp.com/binge - Get 10% off your first month. warbyparker.com/binge - Try 5 pairs of glasses for free at home, with no obligation to buy.zocdoc.com/binge - Download the Zocdoc app to sign up for free and book a top-rated doctor.

In this episode, Bob chats with Laurah Norton and Brooke Hargrove, hosts of “The Fall Line.” Their podcast brings light to lesser-known cases involving marginalized communities in Southeast America, with a special focus on their home state of Georgia. The three discuss Laurah’s writing and academic career and Brooke’s work as a grief counselor, while also covering many of the cases that have been featured throughout the many seasons of The Fall Line. Bob, Laurah, and Brooke then dive deep into the case of the unsolved disappearance of Brian Wehrle in 2009. Brian was visiting his hometown of Carrolton, Georgia, when he failed to appear at a routine appointment at Probate Court one morning. A neighbor reported seeing him in his garage the night before, but the next morning, both Brian and his vehicle were gone. Three months later, Brian’s Buick was found in a different state with stolen plates, but since then the trail has gone cold.To suggest a guest or request an interview, please visit us at TrueCrimeBinge.com Follow us on all forms of social media @TrueCrimeBinge Today's Sponsors:imperfectfoods.com - Use promo code "binge" to get 20% off your first 4 months.Best Fiends - Download the mobile puzzle game for free on the Apple App Store or Google Play.Betterhelp.com/binge - Get 10% off your first month.

In this episode, Bob discusses Morgan’s childhood friendship with Nic and The Captain from True Crime Garage, Cherry’s UK bakery, meeting Idris Elba, and the UK murder of Deborah Linsley. In 1988, Linsley boarded a train to London. Before arriving at her destination, however, she was attacked and brutally murdered by a fellow passenger. Bob and Kelli discuss her burgeoning true crime podcast relationship status, hosting a radio show, and all things Midwest. They also discuss the murder of Amy Mullis. In 2018 in Iowa, Amy was found with a corn rake in her back on her family farm. Todd, Amy’s husband, drove her to the hospital where she eventually passed away. Initially, investigators thought it was just an unfortunate accident, until the medical examiner noted that they found six puncture wounds, despite the fact that the rake had only four tines. Jillian began Court Junkie as a blog where she could share her passion for true crime and everything court-related. Bob and Jillian discuss moving to the Chicago suburbs, the White Sox vs. the Cubs, working in journalism, and the case of Henry Segura. In 2010, a family of four was brutally murdered and, almost 10 years later, Henry Segura was convicted of the crime. A lack of evidence, in addition to someone else confessing to the murders during Henry’s trial, points to reasonable doubt and a strong possibility that law enforcement may have put the wrong man behind bars.To suggest a guest or request an interview, please visit us at TrueCrimeBinge.com Follow us on all forms of social media @TrueCrimeBinge Today's Sponsors:betterhelp.com/binge - Get 10% off your first month.imperfectfoods.com - Use promo code "BINGE" for 20% off your first 4 orders.

Alvin Williams, along with co-host Francel (Fran) Evans, hosts the “Affirmative Murder” podcast, where they highlight cases involving minorities. The podcast is both serious and lighthearted, as the hosts discuss difficult topics related to disparities in the true crime sphere, while also adding in some good-natured comedy and going off on tangents. Bob and Alvin discuss what it’s like to be male hosts in the largely female-dominated world of true crime, misconceptions regarding race in relation to criminals, and the case of serial killer Jason Thomas Scott, the “Mother-Daughter killer.” From 2008 to 2009, Scott invaded and burglarized homes in Prince George County, Maryland, where he would eventually murder two mother-daughter pairs, as well as a fifth woman, in their homes. A beech tree leaf found at the scene of one of the crimes, and his connection to over 40 burglaries, would ultimately lead to his conviction in 2009.
