In candlelit chambers and guarded halls, secret assemblies formed—lodges bound by oath, symbol, and silence.
Chapter 49 explores the rise of these hidden councils across Europe and beyond—fraternities that promised enlightenment, reform, and brotherhood, yet stood vulnerable to unseen influence. Some sought virtue and liberty guided by Light. Others, drawn by ambition and secrecy, became instruments of shadow. The battlefield shifted from crowns to councils, from armies to ideas, from open conquest to concealed persuasion.
