Welcome to Season 8! This week, we have two Dancing Queens with some very public baggage. First up, Alicia has the story of legendary erotic performer and alleged super spy, Mata Hari. A cache of documents that became public in 2017 has prompted a re-evaluation of Mata Hari’s World War I loyalties and activities, and really made German and French intelligence look bad. Then, Stacie brings us to the 1990s, when comedian Ellen Degeneres caused the world to lose its mind by coming out as a lesbian. There were consequences, both for her and her then-girlfriend, actress Anne Heche.
