About this episode
7 And the Lord said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. 8 So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites. 9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. 10 Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” Exodus 3:7-10 1. God Gave Moses A Great Calling and Vision. 19 But I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not even by a mighty hand. Exodus 3:19 20 So I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all My wonders which I will do in its midst; and after that he will let you go. Exodus 3:20 12-13 Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner. 1 Peter 4:12-13 MSG #2. Challenge Bring Stress. 11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” Exodus 3:11 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” 4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ 5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” 7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” Matthew 4:3-7 NIV #3. Stress Creates Either A Reaction Or A Response In You. 10 Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” Exodus 4:10 13 But he said, “O my Lord, please send by the hand of whomever else You may send.” Exodus 4:13 #4. When Faced With A Challenge Choose To "...End" It Well. Seven Ways: 1) Change your attitude toward the problem. 2) Press into a new place of humility in your life. 3) Choose to be stretched. 4) Depend on God. 5) Don't run from the challenge. Contend with it. 6) Let your faith transcend the moment. 7) Trust the Great I Am.
