Faith for Tough Times - Lesson 6 - Walking by Faith and Not by Sight

John 20:24-24 1. “Have I found a promise in God’s Word, for that which I am believing God for?” 2. “Am I living in obedience to what the Scriptures teach?” “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. 9 You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me...10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. 11 “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the Lord of hosts; 12 “And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,” Says the Lord of hosts. Malachi 3:8-12 3. “Do I believe God’s Word with my heart/spirit?” 4. “Am I considering contradictory circumstances?” 5. “Am I praising God for the answer?” Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” 26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:24-29 NKJV “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 1. Find A Promise In God’s Word Related To What You Are Asking God For. 2. Examine Yourself. Is Your Life Lined Up With God’s Word? 3. Mediate On God’s Promise, So It Becomes The Conviction Of Your Heart. 4. Believe God’s Word, and Affirm It With Your Mouth. 5. Do Not Consider Contradictory Circumstances. 6. Praise God For The Answer.
