Welcome to episode 28 of Trail Running Ireland. The show is hosted by Eoin Flynn, UTMB Finish Line Race Announcer and 10 times Irish International Mountain Runner.
This week we have Kerry men Joe O'Leary and Kevin Leahy who recently completed what has been described as the longest hardest high level route in Ireland, The Iveragh Traverse. Kevin and Joe ran for 22 hours, facing all the elements nature could throw at them, sunburn and windchill, over 44 summits, 85km and 7,500m overall ascent and it’s a real pleasure to have them with us this week
Head Coach René Borg from Running Coach Ireland also chats to us about best training practices for those on shift work and difficult work timetables.
