S1 Ep 29Sleepless in Suzuka

This week we’re bringing you a Suzuka Recap (and some missed details from Singapore that we just didn’t get to last time around). Important topics include those kiss activated trophies, the LAST open seat for 2024 and McLaren stealing the show. Congrats to Red Bull and their Constructors Championship even though we all know it was Max who did most of the heavy lifting this season. What’s going on with Checo, you ask? After his questionable moves in Suzuka, we’re all wondering that. Most importantly, Danny Ric and Yuki will return to the grid next year, but where does that leave Liam Lawson? Oh and also, Hannah found out some fascinating information about Mr. Max Verstappen that she just had to share, so make sure you stay tuned till the end to hear it.

S1 Ep 28A Smooooooth Operation in Singapore

Is Emma delusional or is she the real curse in F1 this season? We still don’t know, but we can confidently say that Singapore has been one of the most exciting races of the 2023 season so far. From quali to the last lap, we were all on the edge of our seats. No Red Bull on the podium…we’re still stunned. We saw some fantastic racing and some heartbreaking ends and maybe, just maybe, we’re seeing a new number 1 driver at Ferrari? We are not in any position to try and guess what the future has in store for Red Bull Racing and AlphaTauri, but of course we talk about it anyway, along with Suzuka Track Stats and the painful history that’s important to discuss but even more important to learn from.

S1 Ep 27ICYMI: Sliding Around in Laguna Seca (BONUS EPISODE)

The 2023 IndyCar season comes to an end, but of course they saved the most chaotic race for last and we are here to recap it all (or at least we try to..there was a lot that happened) A lot of drivers struggled on the resurfaced track which of course led to yet another unpredictable race. We are still waiting to hear about a handful of teams and their driver line up for 2024 and until then, remember to be nice on social media because these drivers don’t deserve hate. But if you must go online, we encourage you to scroll through Arrow McLaren’s page because with Lil Dave joining the team, you know we’ll be getting some good content. Thank you to everyone who has joined us this Indy season and a special thank you to everyone who has helped us learn all about this sport. And don’t worry, this is not the last of In Case You Missed Indy, we’re still waiting on Hannah’s WAGment.

S1 Ep 27Off Track

This whole episode is sponsored by: Delusion! From putting drivers in The Hunger Games to trying to figure out what Checo is doing next year, we will admit to being all over the place. But at least we mean well, unlike whoever is chopping down those trees in Vegas for more race visibility (Sebastian Vettel would not be proud). Some Track Stats for Singapore, a WAG update that will have your jaws drop and did someone say...Charles in Eurovision..? We may not know how many teams will be on the grid in the future, but that’s a 2025 problem and all we care about right now is trying to figure out when Danny Ric will be back. (Deja Vu am I right?)

In Case You Missed Indy - Extended (BONUS EPISODE)

Alex Palou is our 2023 IndyCar Champion and Emma still thinks he could give Max Verstappen a run for his money. Silly Season has not ended in this series with new driver rumours popping up every day, but don’t worry, Pato, king of the Indy spotlight, is staying at Arrow McLaren. As for our other Social Media Menace, Malukas may not have a 2024 seat yet but we’re still rooting for him. For the Formula Fans…do the names Christian Lundgaard, Callum Illot and Marcus Armstrong sound familiar? Maybe because you’ve seen them in the Formula 1 feeder series and they could easily become your new favs in Indy. There’s a lot of crossover and connection between current Indy drivers and the Formula series so take notes! And of course it would not be an In Case You Missed Indy if we didn’t recap their latest race in Portland.

S1 Ep 26Max v. The Monza Curse v. Nico Rosberg

Great weekend for Tifosi and the Orange Army! Not so great for Oscar, Yuki or Alpine..but don’t worry, we figured out what happened to Este Bestie. Monza started with chaos and ended with Ferrari fans at the edge of their seats but man oh man was it nice to see Carlos on the podium in Italy. We still don’t know if the Monza Curse exists or if the Nico Rosberg Curse is simply stronger, but we do know that the drivers are besties and love a little competition, on and off the track. Alex Albon was driver of the day in our hearts and Furious Hot Takes is BACK! Make sure to submit yours and let us know your thoughts on today’s takes. Thank you to Furious Motorsport for sponsoring Furious Hot Takes. Use the link below for $5 off your order.https://www.furiousmotorsport.com/discount/TRACKTALK

S1 Ep 25The (Flying) Dutch(man) Grand Prix

The Flying Dutchman (Max, not the character from SpongeBob) claimed his ninth win this weekend at his home Grand Prix and hey, you know what, he deserves it! Can he claim a 10th next week or will the Monza Curse get in the way? We saw a few red flags, a new face on the track and a new driver on the podium. We’re all wishing Danny Ric a speedy recovery and we’re also wishing that people stop comparing drivers who aren’t anywhere in the same league. Some change ups at Indy because Indy Silly Season just keeps on giving. Finally, Track Stats is back as we prep for Monza and once again, don’t trust George with any forecasts.

S1 Ep 24The Final Countdown (To Zandvoort)

Less than a week till we are OFFICIALLY back to talkin’ track but for now we’ve got a whole list of other things on the radar, starting with Motorsports at the Olympics...let’s not hold our breath quite yet. Instead, let's talk about inclusivity in Formula 1 and why don’t we see more drivers and teams speaking up or advocating for change? We’ve got a couple of Furious Hot Takes headed your way and a fun new segment Hannah likes to call The WAGment. She finally does a deep dive on all the queens in the paddock to get you up to speed and if you didn’t love Alex and Lily before, you will now. Track Stats is FINALLY back and of course, we can’t forget about IndyCar. S1 Ep 23Contracts and Camp Rock

IN CASE YOU MISSED INDY…Alex Palou is currently spearheading the 2023 Silly Season, RLL is alive and well, and the dislike for McLaren Management seems to not be confined to just Formula 1 Fans. We love our Canadian drivers at Track Talk because, well, we ARE Canadian and we sound it too, sorry, eh? We also love Mick Schumacher who is glowing and taking fashion advice from Sir Lewis Hamilton. Track Talk has also teamed up with Furious Motorsport to bring you a new segment…Furious Hot Takes (and we want you to submit your own hot takes - use the link below) The takes will just get hotter as the weeks go on! We talk about our fav 1989 babies, T Swift and Danny Ric and finally, the Camp Rock x F1 crossover you didn’t know you needed because we are nothing but chaotic and delulu over here at Track Talk. Happy Silly Season everyone. S1 Ep 22Welcome to Silly Szn

There’s no race but that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about the season so far and all of its highs and lows. Of course we’re all waiting for Danny Ric’s return to COTA and what the rest of Silly Season will bring, especially since there aren’t too many drivers at risk of losing their seats this year. Looking even further ahead, the most important questions are what are the F1 drivers going to wear to the Apex movie premiere and also, how excited is everyone for the 2024 season of F1 Academy? As usual, Emma talks about Lance, Hannah’s got some great ideas for the FIA and we introduce a new segment to the pod.. ICYMI - In Case You Missed Indy. (P.s. go follow David Malukas on Instagram, you won't be disappointed).Furious Motorsport Jerseys - get $5 with our linkhttps://www.furiousmotorsport.com/discount/TRACKTALKMarriott Collection Austin South - Book your hotel room at a discounted rate with our link,https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1690572349837&key=CORP&app=resvlink

S1 Ep 21The Return of the Honey Badger

Danny Ric is BACK and his opening credit scene isn’t everything Emma hoped and dreamed of but at least he finished the race unlike Alpine struggling with back to back double DNF's. We had such high hopes for them and Aston Martin but it seems that the teams to watch out for are McLaren and Mercedes. Oh and what about Ferrari, you ask? We’re disappointed, but not surprised and we have a totally unserious theory as to why Charles might be struggling. Red Bull broke records, Lando broke a trophy and we can’t forget about Track Stats with Han this week, but if you haven’t watched the 2021 Spa race, that is truly okay.

S1 Ep 20Toronto Indy Recap + Hungaroring Prep

We encourage everyone to hop on the IndyCar bandwagon this week as Emma recaps her weekend at the Toronto Indy Race (Shoutout to Kevin and Caitlyn from Team Penske) IndyCar has some of the best fan access that leads to some of the most amazing moments with drivers and that was made clear this weekend when Pato gave Emma a heart and when she got to chat with Josef Newgarden. One of her favs won and yes, she considers herself to be Christian Lundgaard’s good luck charm now. It was a chaotic weekend but of course we don’t forget to talk about the shake up at AlphaTauri (Welcome Back Danny). Track Stats with Han are a must and if you haven’t watched the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix…go watch it. P.S. if you’re a tennis fan, the last five minutes of the episode are for you.

S1 Ep 19The Great British Race Off ft. Furious Motorsport

Join Emma and Hannah AND Bradd from Furious Motorsport as we unpack the British Grand Prix. Before we get into that, however, we had some questions, as Canadians, for Bradd, an American F1 fan. And yes, we’re still talking about the Miami driver introductions. Highlights of the week are the McLaren and Williams revivals of course and we have to talk about the unfortunate weekends of Lance, Pierre and the Ferrari drivers and also...Aston Martin? What’s going on over there? Two Brits sharing the podium on Sunday was a beautiful sight and now we must ask ourselves, who’s really in the fight for points leading into the summer break?Make sure to use this link to shop Formula 1 jersey’s from Furious Motorsport and get $10 off with code ‘TRACKTALK’Huge thanks again to Bradd and the entire Furious Motorsport team for such a fun episodehttps://www.furiousmotorsport.com/?utm_source=snowball&utm_medium=vip-program&utm_campaign=TRACKTALK

S1 Ep 18Track Limits at the Toto Wolff GP

The FIA had so much fun handing out track limit penalties this weekend and honestly, I think we all lost count of how many were actually received. And was that the Orange Army in the grandstands or a bunch of McLaren fans…answers may vary. Hannah and Emma may have different opinions about Sprint Races but they can agree it was a good weekend for Charlies girlies. Carlos girlies..so sorry, maybe he can claim his second Silverstone win next weekend? Listen to Track Stats with Han and some history from the upcoming British GP, the good the bad and the scary and before we end, we need to get real for a moment. We know death is a difficult topic for many and we do address the recent passing of the young driver, Dilano Van‘T Hoff and pay our respects at 48:32 in the episode. If you feel as though you are unable to listen, please turn the episode off at that time and take care of yourself.

S1 Ep 17Let's Talk Red Bull

The theme this week is Red Bull…as in the Red Bull Ring, the future of Red Bull Racing and the popular question, is Danny Ric returning to Red Bull? Track Stats with Han returns as we dive into the Austrian Grand Prix. Side note, did you know Mick is actually Este's bestie? Of course we keep asking ‘What is Checo doing’ and we may never get an answer. We also want to know if a Deadpool livery for Alpine is out of the question but with Ryan Reynolds stepping in…we can never make assumptions. Also this weeks crush tracker may surprise you, it certainly surprised Hannah.

S1 Ep 16Our Home Race Recap, Eh?

It’s OUR home Grand Prix this weekend…and Lance’s but we’re more concerned about his media obligations and his future in the sport rather than his actual performance. A few drivers on the grid deserve better cars, two of them being Alex Albon and Lando Norris. Not saying we want to see them in a Red Bull but come on…what’s Checo doing? We can give credit where credit is due and if that means we talk about Oscar Pastry for 10 minutes…well…you’ll just have to listen to find out what we say. As usual, Hannah talks WAGS, Emma talks Indy, but we also dive into that ‘unsportsmanlike behaviour’ penalty and the fact that Canadian drivers are so far and few between. Also...how do you pronounce ‘Haas’?

S1 Ep 15Hello, Bonjour, Ciao

We’re all over the map this week, Hannah’s in Italy, Emma went to Texas and of course we can't forget about the Canadian Grand Prix. Listen to Emma’s COTA’s experience and count how many times she says the word ‘insane’. Hannah shares stories from her Montreal trip last summer (if you go, be sure to check out the street parties). Emma attempts Montreal Track Stats but it’s really just a history lesson and some notable moments such as the Seb v. Lewis 2019 drama and Jenson Button’s wild 2011 win. Also make sure to stay tuned at the end of the episode to hear our interview with Italian F4 Driver, Vika Blokhina.

S1 Ep 14A Weekend in (S)pain

E

We aren’t crying, it's just the sweat from our visors, right George? As always, qualifying was more entertaining than the race and Ferrari let us down once again, but let’s focus on the highlights…like Max being just as shocked as we were to see a McLaren starting From P3 and a double podium that WASN’T Red Bull. Emma touches on some Indy stats from their Detroit race and Hannah has a few theories about a certain someones potential F1 retirement, but most importantly, if you have any negative opinions about females in motorsport…keep them to yourself.

Indy500, Spain & Us (BONUS EPISODE)

Have you ever wanted to hear an Indy500 recap from 2 girls who just watched the Indy500 for the first time? Now’s your chance!! From the green flag to the driver drinking the milk, we dissect it all (including the last lap controversy) Emma FINALLY explains what the Triple Crown is and goes a little in depth about Le Mans while Hannah tells us everything we need to know about F1 in Spain this weekend. Stick around till the end to get to know us a little more. Here’s a spoiler: one of us could have been a professional soccer (football) player and the other one hides the 'check engine' light in her car with sticky notes

S1 Ep 13The Mess of Monaco

E

The home race curse lives on, but let’s be real, it could have been a lot worse. We have a plan to manifest a Charles win next year anyway, don’t worry. We also have ideas on how to make Monaco a better track because those traffic jams (and cars being lapped twice) is just not it. Monaco was messy, the FIA is messy, but we still took away a few things from this weekend such as...Lance would win a wet t-shirt contest, Emma still does not like Carlos at Ferrari, Hannah is a professional WAG tracker, Max is TOO good at his job and please, for the love of Formula 1, leave Lando alone.

S1 Ep 12Monaco Memories

Welcome to Track Talk Pod, today we're counting down our picks for the worst Charles Leclerc inchidents at Monaco. Will we see another one this year, or is his home-race curse finally over? And while there was no Imola race this weekend, Emma breaks down the Indy Qualifying sessions to prepare us all for the Indy500. This episode’s a long one so buckle up and get ready to hear some mentions of Tony Stark, Niall Horan and of course, our favourite topic, WAGS. Also...question for the general public; how does one get invited to a Red Bull party?

S1 Ep 11Imola Prep

Did you believe the ‘Danny Ric to Alpha Tauri’ rumours only to find out that it would never happen? You may be entitled to financial compensation. Red Bull Racing is cut throat, but we knew this. What we DON’T know is what happened at the F1 Royal Wedding in Venice. Listen to Hannah and Emma discusses the lack of Stroll Sibling content, Imola predictions and you might even hear something positive about McLaren…IndyCar's Arrow McLaren, that is.

S1 Ep 10The Mislead of Miami

We all expected a fun and exciting race, filled with high energy, celebrities, something to remember...so why did we almost fall asleep during it? Did Quali get our hopes up? Is a Max v. Checo battle too overplayed at this point? Was it that Americanized driver introduction that should have been a red flag on its own? We only know two things for sure, this weekend was not for the fans and Brad Pitt is most certainly not getting behind the wheel of an F1 car.

May 9, 202343 min

Miami, Max & the Met (BONUS EPISODE)

We went from 0 races in a month to back to back tracks and now it's one of Hannah’s favourites, the boys are back in Miami! There’s a lot to expect this weekend from WAG appearances, a lot of Logan content, a new Charles Leclerc song and…influencers? Side note, don’t believe everything you read on the internet, unless it’s an article about how good Danny Ric looked at the Met Gala.Etsy Shop - https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/TrackTalkPodHannah's Miami Playlist - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5ksYTPgNonJH181ZBgVbOa?si=RD4hFVH9TIiZISTm59qeJQ&nd=1

S1 Ep 9Baku Breakdown

What happened in Baku…more like … did anything happen? The lead up to the race certainly had more exciting moments than the race itself from the Max and George confrontation to Pierre regretting his words about not needing practices, but if there’s anything we can take away from this weekend, it’s that Emma is NOT a Max fan and Hannah has issues with the term ‘Monegasque’.Etsy Shop - TrackTalkPod - Etsy Canada

S1 Ep 8Back to Regularly Scheduled Programming

E

It's finally race week which means a couple fun new segments on the pod! Track Stats with Han and Emma's Weekly Crush Tracker - spoiler alert: Yuki made it on this week's top five. Listen along to Hannah and Emma's Baku predictions, a history lesson about Ferrari's Fuel Scandal and 'Heightgate'...how tall are these drivers really?

S1 Ep 7Are We IndyCar Fans Now?

Female motorsport content creators are popping up everywhere and we love it! Hannah and Emma sit down with Rachel and Kate from Paddock Pundits to talk all things IndyCar and the F1 comparisons following the Long Beach Grand Prix. This may have started with them just needing to fill the time until the next Formula 1 race, but it's safe to say that IndyCar has gained at least two new fans this weekend over here at Track Talk.Check out Paddock Pundits Podcast - https://open.spotify.com/show/5qcJPEdKwy7iPqCPMZnZhF?si=0b7572923db643c2

S1 Ep 6Too Many Practices, Not Enough Pierre

What are driver penalty points? What the heck is a sprint race? Do the drivers really need three practice sessions? Hannah and Emma have some of the answers, but we’ll just cut to the chase, all of us (including the drivers) are just filling the time until Race 4 in Baku. From golf to IndyCar to drooling over Alex Albon, there’s a lot to keep us entertained until lights out.

S1 Ep 5Chaos Down Under

8 driver retirements, 4 race starts, 3 red flags, 2 safety cars and 1 action packed weekend. Join Hannah and Emma as they break down the timeline of events that was the chaotic Australian Grand Prix and if you think it can't get worse than a car on fire or K-Mags losing a tire...think again. (At least we got some Danny Ric content out of it.)

Apr 4, 202350 min

S1 Ep 4Melbourne & Mario Kart

No race to analyze but there's still plenty to discuss! From Australian Grand Prix predictions to potential new circuits to trying to explain what DRS is (Hannah sums it up in about 5 seconds). Count how many pop culture references they make, how much merch Hannah and Emma have (too much) and how often they mention Danny Ric. Also love triangles in Formula 1? They're more common than you think.

S1 Ep 3What Happened at Jeddah?

The second race of the season left us with questions such as…is it too early to start calling team orders? What exactly happened with Alonso’s penalties? Are we still Ferrari Fans? Is McLaren okay? Hannah and Emma tackle all of these topics and more, including a fun F1 x Harry Potter crossover (and to be clear, we love Yuki).

S1 Ep 2Bahrain Breakdown

E

Hannah and Emma breakdown the first race of the 2023 season and compare what the rookies are bringing to the table. Listen to their Jeddah predictions, (Spoiler Alert: they're rooting for a Ferrari win), the controversy behind WAGs (wives and girlfriends) and Emma brings up Lance Stroll for the tenth time in two episodes
