Show Notes
Thomas Hedlund is a drummer from Umeå, Sweden. His powerful multi-genre style and ability has landed him in many bands over the past 15 year, including post-metalers Cult of Luna, The Perishers, Khoma, and currently indie rock bands Deportees and Phoenix. Outside of drumming, Thomas works for a Swedish grant committee, which provides grants and financial assistance for artists in need. He tells us how difficult and rewarding the committee was during the pandemic and what he learned in the process. Joe and Thomas share their few experiences playing shows thus far in the pandemic, how the love of performing outweighs the restrictions, and what they look forward to in the coming months. They also discuss the benefits of remote recording vs. the ease of being in a room together. Of course......they talk drums, and Thomas gives us a tip on the "5 second rule".
