Rachel Barenbaum is the debut author of A Bend in the Stars, a riveting historical novel, set in World War I-era Russia, about love and the history and science and survival. It was a New York Times Summer Reading Selection and a Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers pick. It was also a Boston Globe best seller. A graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Business School, and the GrubStreet Novel Incubator program, Rachel was a hedge fund manager and spinning instructor before committing to full-time work as a writer and reviewer.
