Repaired Ocean Beach Pier reopens ahead of Fourth of July celebrations. Damage caused by winter storms caused the city to close the pier on Jan. 6. The city decided to wait until after the winter storm season ended before reopening it.
This holiday weekend, the California Highway Patrol will have all available officers on the road beginning Friday at 6 p.m and continuing through Tuesday night until 11:59 p.m.
The 4th of July are the most stressful days of the year for dogs and their owners, shelter officials say its best to be prepared ahead of the holiday.
