Lawmakers want to modify the infrastructure law so states can use acid mine drainage cleanup funding in perpetuity. Philadelphia wants to not only increase its own funding for police but expand officers’ presence throughout the city. Pittsburgh TSA officials would like to gently remind flyers to “know what’s in your bag.” And students raise money for their teacher…so he can get rid of his “hideous” shoes.
