Jesus is back from the dead, and it’s not a drill, honey! Though, there are many drills happening today at Vico’s parent’s house in PR (shoutout to solar panels)! You know we made it work despite the sound disruptions — all it takes is Vico and a mid-size SUV, with coordinating interior to Vico’s OOTD!
Today in good news, a federal judge in Boston said the Trump admin’s transphobic passport policy is “likely unconstitutional.” We all know it is. For now, the decision protects six people — but the plaintiffs are pushing to expand it. Fingers crossed for everyone who needs a new passport.
Meanwhile, a powder-wig-packed UK Supreme Court gave the word woman a transphobic legal meaning. Now it’s unclear where trans folks are supposed to pee — among other things. The ruling literally said trans people should use their “powers of advocacy” to push for their own spaces. Girl…We have to pee NOW! It’s a grim decision, but people are taking the streets. There’s power in that.
And in sweeter news: a “Caravan of Hope” is hitting the road to bring LGBTQIA+ legal support to rural queer folks in red states. Their next tour is this fall — if someone you know needs help and lives along the route, send them their way! Plus: it’s TV Tuesday at Today in Gay! That means more Love on the Spectrum, more The Last of Us, and somehow The Phantom of the Opera. Because… we’re gay. Happy Tuesday!
