Every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. Every 13 minutes a woman dies of it. This month, as it has for the past seven years, the Titanic Museum Attraction is taking action to help lower those numbers and give breast cancer the “Pink Slip!”

This podcast we look at the service men and women that are to be honored on Memorial day. There were over 40 military servicemen on board the RMS Titanic in 1912. We look at 3 examples, and have the pleasure of presenting the National Anthem, preformed by the Choral Ensemble from Seymour High School in Sevier county, TN.

The Titanic Violin 🎻 is now on display in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee Now- until June, extended by popular demand! It broke the world record at $1.7 million to an anonymous bidder over the phone! The highest price ever paid for a Titanic artifact.

Our very own Officer Jim is a retired Teacher who found that his love of teaching and inspiring students was not over when he stepped away from the Teacher's desk after 30 years! Today marks the 109th anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic. We share a poem on this episode preformed by Lowell Lytle, author and our acting captain Smith. His performance is stirring in memory of all those we lost that fateful night.

March is Irish Month at the Titanic Museum Attractions! We cannot let this Month long celebration of Irish Culture go by, without sharing an incredibly impactful Irish story. The Addergoole Parish had fourteen represented on Titanic, making their way to America and a new life. Only 3 would arrive safely in New York.

The Titanic had an Irish heart! She was built in Belfast, Northern Ireland by over 14,000 Irishmen. It took them 3 years to build her, and in 5 days she was gone. There were 187 Irish passengers on board as well, and only 54 would see America. Hear how the Titanic Museum Attractions take the Month of March and transform it into a month long celebration of Irish culture and Titanic's own roots Irish roots.

February is Black History Month, and The Titanic Museum Attractions make sure to honor the Haitian Passenger onboard with his wife and children, traveling back to Haiti by way of Titanic, the passage was booked on another French vessel, but when the Leroche Parents learned of the dinning and other restrictions, they exchanged tickets, for the RMS Titanic. Do you ever wonder how ships before the Titanic era would communicate? Well, they didn’t communicate directly at all. The use of flares and flags were the main communication methods, but all of that changed with the introduction of an Irish- Italian man named Gulielmo Marconi and his revolutionary wireless invention. Titanic was equipped with a Marconi machine, and two wireless operators. Hear how junior wireless operator, Harold Bride, recalls the night of the sinking in a letter he sent to the Marconi company after the disaster.

The Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge Tennessee is fortunate to have Crew member Josh McInnish on the crew. He has a bachelor degree in the science of music industry, he is an accomplished pianist, composer and music producer with many published works, extraordinary as this story is, imagine accomplishing all of this without sight. First Class Maid Jamie interviews Titanic's own Margaret Tobin Brown's great Granddaughter Helen Benziger. Helen is a great friend to the Titanic Museums and we all consider her part of the Titanic Family! Hear how she learned who her Great Grandmother really was, and why the 1964 production of "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" was so special to her! It is always a pleasure when Helen comes to town for either ship and this podcast is no exception!
