You only get one shot at life. There are no rehearsals, no do-overs, no mulligans. And when this life is over, every believer will stand before the judgment seat of Christ to have that one life reviewed and rewarded. In this first of three teachings on the Bema Seat, I want to lay the foundation from 2 Corinthians 5:9–11. We’ll examine the place of this judgment—the raised platform every Roman city had—the participants who will be there, the period when it occurs, and the purpose behind it. This isn’t about whether you get into Heaven; that was settled when you trusted Christ. The question is how you will spend eternity. What you do now matters forever. The life you live today determines your life for all eternity. It’s time to take dead aim with the one shot you’ve been given!
