Major League Baseball owners locked out the players on December 2 after the expiration of the league’s collective bargaining agreement. But not before a spending spree that saw former Dodgers Corey Seager and Max Scherzer cash in elsewhere as free agents, and Chris Taylor returned to Los Angeles on a four-year, $60 million contract.
