Show Notes

On this episode of the Three-Inning Save podcast, we recap the Dodgers winning two games over the Cubs to open the regular season at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.

The Dodgers Japanese star players all made an impact. Shohei Ohtani had three hits, including a home run. Yoshinobu Yamamoto started and won on opening day. Roki Sasaki made his major league debut and struck out three in three innings, though was pulled after five walks.

Even without Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman in the two games, the Dodgers offense found ways to score, more with patience in the first game and sheer power in the second game, including three home runs and three doubles on Wednesday.
