Show Notes

Want an episode where our lawyer-parishioner is simply on fire? You’ve tuned into the right place!

For the pastor starts asking questions about the role of civil government and Christians’ relationship to it. Things start off mildly enough with a discussion about the latest social unrest, though the attorney reminds the others that our nation was founded on the civil disobedience known as the Revolutionary War. The show starts heating up a bit as Romans 13 is addressed, and the barrister distinguishes being subject to authorities versus giving a blind obedience to them. Then when accounts of civil obedience in the Bible are brought up, the prosecutor turns to the case law of Acts 16. He blazes with logical precision and legal brilliance as he examines the actions of citizens, police, and authorities alike, concluding by making the case for wise, restrained civil disobedience when necessary. He almost left the pastor speechless in his wake!
