S2 Ep134: Live From Prairie View with Wounded Warrior Project
This week Those Weekend Golf Guys are live from Prairie View Golf Course in Carmel, Indiana for the Capital Golf Amateur Tour’s Wounded Warrior Classic. During this week’s show we talk to Jim Fuquay from Prairie View. He explains the course, the history. It’s a Robert Trent Jones design and is the home of the Indiana State High School championships every year. A great course. Then we talk to Luke Douglas, a Peer Partner with wounded Warrior Project who found golf after he, too, was wounded in Iraq. After his first three rounds he realized this was such a great game he joined his neighborhood club. Living in Evansville, Indian his home club is Victoria National! And of course, Jeff Smith, one of America’s Top 100 Golf Instructors is here with some sage advice. Especially if you’re playing a great course for the first time take 2 shots to get to the green and make them the 2 easiest shots you can manage. Rather than long and short or short then long make them easy then easy. Another fun, funny, entertaining golf talk radio show.
