S2 Ep120: Our Impressions of American dunes Golf Club

On this week’s show Those Weekend Golf Guys talk about their fantastic trip up to Grand Harbor Michigan for the Grand Opening Celebration of the American Dunes Golf Club. American Dunes is owned and operated by Lt. Col. Dan Rooney from Folds of Honor and was redesigned by Jack Nicklaus. The trip was fun and the course was amazing. The greens were running fast (14 on the meter) and the wind was blowing (20-25 mph). The course has lots of sand which the guys found to be a bit problematic and the wind actually blew the ball off course on the greens. So, Jeff is giving tips this week on playing from sand (not greenside bunkers), putting on slick greens in a heavy wind, and all the other necessary talents you will need to play a course like American Dunes.
