Could you imagine if actress Geneviève Bujold stayed on Voyager to play Captain Janeway? For me, it is hard to believe that Kate Mulgrew wasn’t the first choice to play that role.

Could an argument be made that the longevity of Trek could be credited to TNG and not TOS? I know TNG wouldn’t have been made without TOS but if TNG failed, I doubt any other series would have been developed.
