The Food and Drug Administration has approved a "smart pill" that tells doctors if and when patients take their medications. This pill could save billions of dollars in medical expenses, but it raises a lot of concerns among privacy experts. Host Dan Loney speaks with Robert Field, Lecturer at Wharton's Health Care Management Department and Professor of Health Management at Drexel University's Kline School of Law, and Holly Fernandez Lynch, Professor of Medical Ethics at the Perelman School of Medicine at Penn, to discuss the issues surrounding the digital pill technology on Knowledge@Wharton.
