Show Notes

For the first time in nearly 60 years, a Castro is no longer Cuba's head of state. Raul Castro, who took the reins from his brother Fidel in 2008, officially stepped down last week making way for Miguel Diaz-Canal. Host Dan Loney speaks with Lillian Guerra, Professor of Cuban & Caribbean History at the University of Florida, Richard Gioioso, Director of Latin American Studies Program at Saint Joseph's University, and Gustavo Arnavat, Senior Adviser for the Center for Strategic and International Studies and a former Obama Administration official who represented the US at the Inter-American Development Bank, to discuss this political change for Cuba on Knowledge@Wharton.
