Show Notes
SeaWorld, Ikea and Royal Caribbean recently announced they will remove plastic straws and bags from their properties. They're joining a growing group of international businesses, organizations and governments to ban plastics that are having a devastating impact on many animals and the environment. Elizabeth DeSombre, Professor of Environmental Studies at Wellesley College, and Kartik Chandran, Professor of Environmental Engineering and Director of the Wastewater Treatment and Climate Change Program at Columbia University, join host Dan Loney to discuss the impact of getting rid of single-use plastics and how consumers can change their behavior to lessen their daily usage of these products on Knowledge@Wharton.
