There have been at least 65 shootings on school campuses in 2018 alone, according to the non-profit organization Everytown for Gun Safety. So, it’s no surprise that school security has become a $2.7 billion industry, according to a new report in The Washington Post. And that does not include the costs of armed security guards. Host Dan Loney talks with John Woodrow Cox, Enterprise Reporter for The Washington Post, to discuss how effective tools like armored school doors and bulletproof whiteboards and backpacks are in preventing school shootings on Knowledge@Wharton.
