Show Notes

Ultimate Fakebook is a 3-piece power pop band from Manhattan, KS. They released three full-length albums—Electric Kissing Parties (1997 - Noisome Records), This Will Be Laughing Week (1999 - Noisome Records, 2000 - 550 Music/Epic Records), and Open up and Say Awesome (2002 -Initial Records). Shortly after releasing their EP Before We Spark (2003 - Initial Records), they broke up.

I got them on the phone and this is what we talked about:

  • Bro Hymn by Pennywise
  • Having Falsetto in their songs
  • Alternative Music
  • Touring with Nada Surf
  • Tenacious D
  • Their first drummer
  • The At The Drive-In / Get Up Kids tour that went through Wayne NJ
  • Being the backing band for Reggie and the Full Effect
  • Epic Records
  • Why they stopped touring
  • Playing with KISS
  • And a ton more

After you listen, go help a local business. And wash your hands.
