Sam picks Batman Begins because they've been out of practice for a while and both Sam and Taylor felt like watching it. It's not particularly important to him, but it's a fun time and a really good ep of This Is Important To Me.

After a brief hiatus Sam and Taylor are back this week with Taylor's pick - Get Out!

Sam gets Taylor to reluctantly watch the action revenge thriller John Wick starring Keanu Reeves. He’s a hitman in retirement, but the Russian mob killed his dog, and I’M THINKING HE’S BACK.

Taylor makes Sam watch A Star Is Born because despite having no interest in this movie, he still saw Bohemian Rhapsody in 2018 which was MUCH worse. 

Sam shows Taylor the David Mamet play turned movie starring Jack Lemmon, Al Pacino, Alan Arkin, Ed Harris, Kevin Spacey, Jonathan Pryce, and Alec Baldwin. It’s loaded with men and it’s a real man’s man movie with some of the best movie dialogue.

In this episode, Taylor picks a movie neither of them have seen -- Thelma and Louise -- because she feels like a bad feminist for not watching it sooner. 

Sam shows Taylor the Eddie Murphy/Arsenio Hall classic Coming To America. It’s a feel good, fun, escapist comedy that showcases Eddie Murphy’s comedic greatness and versatility.

Taylor shows Sam one of the only movies that makes magicians look cool - The Prestige!

Sam shows Taylor the Alfred Hitchcock masterpiece Rear Window starring Jimmy Stewart, Grace Kelly, Thelma Ritter, and Raymond Burr. It’s a perfect quarantine watch because it’s about isolation, boredom, being stuck, and obsession. It’s also one of Hitchcock’s best.

This week Taylor makes Sam watch the classic coming-of-age story 13 Going On 30. Is it a good movie or was Taylor just an eleven year old girl when she saw it? We're about to find out.

Sam shows Taylor the 90s comedy Groundhog Day starring Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell because we’re all currently living it.

This week’s movie is important to US. It’s Taylor’s pick and she’s decided to make this episode a rewatch since the subject matter is especially foreboding for their long-distance LA/NYC relationship. 

Sam shows Taylor his favorite film from Quintin Tarantino (his only adaptation based on Elmore Leonard’s “Rum Punch”) starring Pam Grier, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Forster, Robert De Niro, Michael Keaton and Bridget Fonda. It’s part caper, part heist, funny as hell, and kind of romantic. It’s got it all. And as always, we have great stories, fun facts, and more.

Taylor shows Sam the bloody Steven Sondheim musical directed by Tim Burton. This is a different type of musical than Singin' in the Rain. This is Singin' in the Rain meets John Wick. 

Sam describes this film as "the anti-Singin’ In The Rain". Chinatown is an Academy Award winning screenplay by Robert Towne starring Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway, and John Huston. It’s directed by the disgraced Roman Polanski so they have a good conversation on him as well. It is produced by the legendary Robert Evans.

Taylor introduces Sam to Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone. How has he never seen any Harry Potter movie? Was he living under a rock, or just too old? Is this a kids movie and is Taylor living int he past or does this movie hold up as steady as...a sorcerer's stone?

Taylor is not a fan of Ace Ventura so Sam takes mercy on her 25 minutes in. He breaks out the comedy classic Back to School with Rodney Dangerfield to save the day. Does he redeem himself?
