In 1978, the Oakland Raiders pulled off the 'Holy Roller' to beat San Diego.
In 1972, an imposter jumped into the men's Olympic marathon with about a kilometer to go and then ran around the track as if he was the leader.
In 1983, a linesman was struck by ball during a US Open tennis match. The shot caused him to fall backward and hit his head on the hard court surface. The impact knocked him out. He was taken to a hospital but died five days later.
In 1992, it was a big win for NFL players when New York Jets running back Freeman McNeil along with 7 others won their court case against the NFL’s Plan B free agency.
