In 1959, the Washington Redskins selected OL Ernest Barnes out of NCCU in the 8th round of the NFL draft but when they realized he was black, they rescinded their pick. The Baltimore Colts selected him in the 10th round. He went on to become better known for his art.
In 1987, Bo Jackson met Brian Bosworth as the Raiders beat the Seahawks in the first meeting between the NFL rookies.
