In 1964, American Billy Mills became the first American runner to win the 10,000 meter in the Olympics. And he did it in borrowed shoes.
In 2002, San Francisco 49er Terrell Owens caught his second TD of the game and then celebrated by pulling a Sharpie marker from his sock, autographed the ball and handed it to a fan.
