This is part 1 of 3.*** During the month of October, we are facilitating a series of discussions about the issue of human trafficking. In this episode, we go behind the scenes of the Orange County Rescue Mission, a ministry that does full wrap-around service to help those coming out human trafficking to heal and hopefully find ultimate freedom in the Gospel.

Recently, I’ve been doing some content related to the film Sound of Freedom, as well as the man behind the film, Tim Ballard. I wrote a blog post in July and then dropped a podcast summarizing some of my research last week. I will likely drop another podcast later in the week, as the story is quickly escalating. But it made me think about how this story with Tim Ballard is a microcosm of a larger issue: we live in the age of fake news and reliable information is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Pretty much every conservative news outlet, including a lot of Christian news outlets, were pumping Sound of Freedom as being mostly factual and Ballard as being a real life hero. I took a LOT of heat for saying, "Slow down. Some of these so-called facts don’t add up." I can't count how many times I've said to my husband in the last three years, "I simply don't know what to believe anymore." Maybe you can relate. In this week’s teaching, talk about 3 ways to help you find the truth in the age of fake news. My hope is that this will help guide you through the crazy.

We hadn't even heard the term "Christian Nationalism" until about two years ago. Now, there is a growing division among Christians about how to think about the relationship between faith and government. Last December, we had a discussion over dinner with our friend Sam Sey about the issue. Now we are going to have a public conversation to share our thoughts so far.

It's not always easy to determine what's real on the internet. But Christians have a responsibility to do their due diligence before pressing the SHARE button. ***A Closer Look at the Orange Curriculum's Position on Race*** I continue to receive a lot of inquiries related to the Orange Curriculum. Over the last year, I have been collecting resources focusing on their position on race and racism. This is important data for those churches who are trying to decide whether to use Orange. Toward the end, I will also discuss RightNow Media.

He will share a little about his journey out of homosexuality, as well as his perspectives on the "Side B" approach to helping those who struggle with same sex attraction. This is a very important discussion, especially for parents and pastors.

In our effort to push back against critical social justice, Christians can't forget to clearly articulate the biblical case for justice. Monique and Krista have each chosen three issues to highlight that they think are a current injustice, according to God's standards.

And I've noticed that many of them have grown up in mega-church culture and they're struggling to know how to pass along the faith to their children. We often talk about the fact we think there is a place in the Christian life to engage in public advocacy. But something that's even more important than public advocacy is for every Christian to understand that the pathway to solving America’s real problems lies in evangelism. Changing policies or electing better politicians won’t be enough for lasting change. We must preach the Gospel with increased vigor in order that the Holy Spirit will change people’s hearts. But many of us have never even shared the Gospel. We worry that it will damage the relationship. Let's talk about a tough issue, and help encourage each other.

If Krista ruled the world, every church in America would make a way so that every family in their congregation who wants to remove their children from government schools can do it. This means local churches will need to provide education solutions that include single parents and low-income families. Back in 2020, the Riesco family had their business burned down in the BLM riots in Chicago. In the good old days….the main thing we wanted in a product was that it worked. Buying a shirt didn't automatically mean I was also promoting a political philosophy. What's happening? Why are so many companies qu**ring themselves? This is a rebroadcast of a teaching that I did last week over at the Center for Biblical Unity.

I am not going to lie: it has been very hard for us as a family to navigate the waters of feeling church homeless for the last 3 years since we left our church of two decades. We have visited all kinds of churches in search of a better situation. It can be tough out there. Really. This has led me to thinking a LOT about what to look for in a church. I receive a fair number of letters asking for advice on this issue, including what to look for in a biblically faithful church and how to know it's time to transition to a better situation. When I was posting about The Chosen earlier this year, I received a LOT of comments expressing concern about some of cast members being Roman Catholic and participating on the Hallow app (a Roman Catholic prayer app). The content I've been doing over the last year and a half related to the supernatural continues to be popular. I am trying to provide helpful, biblically-based content related to spiritual warfare. I think this is an important issue because aspects of our public culture are becoming increasingly overtly demonic.
