Does The Chosen Violate Sola Scriptura?

When I was posting about The Chosen earlier this year, I received a LOT of comments that the TV series violates the doctrine of sola scriptura. I thought it would be a good opportunity to clarify what sola scriptura actually means...and what it doesn't mean. Let's talk about it.
