"Black Faith and Perseverance" with Rev. Dr. Alex Gee, host of the Black Like Me podcast (linked below), introduces viewers to Black theology through an accessible and powerful overview of African American history, American history, the Black church, and how Black theology can be help rebrand Christianity today. It is a message of faith and what it means to cling to hope in God amidst great resistance. Highrock’s Black Theology course explores how the faith experiences of Black Americans open up distinct ways of reading Scripture, shed light on the gospel’s liberating power, and model the importance of social engagement for all Christians. Central to this class is the theological claim that the faith of Black Americans is a gift to the whole church.
