Show Notes

Dr. W. Lee Warren, M.D. is a brain surgeon, inventor, Iraq War veteran, and author of several books including his recently released Hope Is the First Dose: A Treatment Plan for Recovering from Trauma, Tragedy, and Other Massive Things. Dr. Warren practices neurosurgery at Great Plains Health and loves to make connections between faith, science, and the realities of life. In this conversation, Lee and I talk about the brain, how the brain responds to trauma, how to recover from trauma in a healthy way, a theology of suffering, the relationship between our limbic system and our prefrontal cortex, and other things related to the brain, body, and the trials of life.
