- Cecilia Benoit, Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Victoria and a Scientist at the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research (CISUR). Her research focuses on the inequities embedded in laws, policies, programs, and research agendas at multiple levels of government. She is a recipient of numerous awards, including the Governor General’s Award in Commemoration of the Persons Case and most recently, the Killam Prize.
