Dr. Tahnee Bridson is a psychiatry doctor originally from a small country town in Far North Queensland, who’s best known for her work to reduce stigma, improve help-seeking and promote mental wellbeing. Tahnee experienced shame and stigma firsthand when she was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa as a university student but grew through adversity and defied the odds by graduating top of her class. Her personal experiences were the inspiration behind her organisation, Hand-n-Hand Peer Support. This was an interesting, fun and dare I say, therapeutic conversation for both Tahnee and myself. Although we’re quite different people, it seems we’ve shared some very similar experiences. Enjoy.
