According to David Gillespie, technically all toddlers are psychopaths. So, keep clear of sandpits, swings and slides, I guess. Once again, this was an illuminating and fascinating conversation with one of Australia’s most successful authors. We spoke about ‘resetting’ our brain, how to find credible research, the value (or not) of returning to formal study, the relationship between biochemistry and behaviour, David’s underwhelming opinion of psychology (as a field), why stress is like addiction (biochemically) and how he comes up with ideas for his books.
