Professor Barbara Oakley is the Teacher of Teachers, the Sensei of Students and a true Leader of Learning. Apart from having four degrees, including a Master’s and PhD, she was also a Captain in the US Army, served four years in Germany as a Signal Officer, she co-created and taught one of the world’s most popular courses (Learning How To Learn: Powerful mental tools to help you master tough subjects), worked as a translator (Russian-English) on Soviet trawlers in the Bering Sea, taught in China, worked as a radio operator at the South Pole Station in the Antarctic (where she met her husband), has written four best-selling books and is an absolute to delight to chat with.
