Time is one of the most valuable resources we have, especially in our professional lives. Psalm 90 reminds us that wisdom comes not from rushing through our days, but from recognizing their weight and purpose. When we learn to number our days, we begin to work with intention, clarity, and humility.
This passage also gives us a powerful prayer for our careers and callings: that God would establish the work of our hands. We plan, build, and strive, but lasting impact comes when our work is rooted in Him. Today’s reading invites us to work diligently without anxiety, to seek meaning beyond metrics, and to trust God with outcomes we cannot control.
May we use our time well, work faithfully, and place our labor in God’s hands, trusting Him to give it purpose that lasts.
