Show Notes

Imagine sitting at work and learning the community you live in is calling you a cop killer. It would be cause for immediate distress. If you are a Black Man, it becomes a matter of life and death.

These were the circumstance Darnell Hicks faced in 2020. Being an innocent man who had been convicted by the court of public opinion. Hicks is now suing those who accused him publicly as well as Facebook and Twitter.

Winning that lawsuit won’t change the impact being labeled a cop killer has on his life. However, Hicks is hoping it will prevent someone else from going through the same thing.

On this episode of “The Word” Jackie Rae sits down with Darnell Hicks and learns what life is like after being wrongfully accused.
