Show Notes
A violent storm struck Suffolk on 4 August 1577 and with it the legendary Black Shuck burst into St Mary's Church, Bungay and later Holy Trinity Church, Blythburgh, slaughtering parishioners and leaving scorch-marks on church doors forever dubbed “the devil’s fingerprints.” This tale of thunder, fire, and a spectral hound haunts East Anglian folklore. A ghost dog that still prowls lonely lanes when lightning splits the sky.
