A.J was good enough to jump on the podcast on short notice this week. We chat about the Project Upland Film that they did about little old me last fall. The film is on their YouTube channel and is titled A Love Letter to North Dakota.

It had a been a bit since I hate my good friend Nate Akey on the podcast. We chatted about what hes been up too as well as plans for a new puppy and for the upcoming season.

Its not often that I get the chance to hunt or chat with one of Americas Elite. The Army Rangers are exactly that. We shared a few fun days of hunting last year and lots of drinks and laughs. I hope you all enjoy it!

WARNING!!! A bottle of bear proof may have been injured in the making of this podcast! Its always good to sit down with old friends and talk about hunting trips. This one however is a bit different. We were happy to have Brent Kroll come down and have some beers with Bruce and Myself and ask him questions about the Alaska Trip that we have coming up.

Matt and I talked about the ins and outs of Nutri Source. My dogs LOVE their new food and are doing great on it. We also briefly talk about one of the great holidays in Minnesota....the walleye opener! Roger Schumann of Schumann Guide Service and I had one of the craziest days of fishing ive ever had! After words we were both tired but chatted a little bit about the day. I CAN'T sing his praises as a fisherman and a human in general highly enough. I sat down with some buddies the night before CJs surgery do have a drink and swap war stories. Todd is the owner of Windy Sage Pudelpointers here in Billings and a buddy of mine. So we came over to play with some puppies and chat about the breed and some hunting stories. Bob is new to bird hunting but has dove in head first. He was a podcast listener then a Jamboree guest of mine last year in North Dakota.

Thank you all for the texts and messages on Instagram and facebook. This terrible experience has seriously been eye opening to me on many fronts. On one hand I feel like a dumbass for putting her in the situation to get hurt that I did. On the other hand the outpouring of well wishes and support from the B3 extended family has reminded me how amazing people are. Seriously, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU ALL!

Its nice to have some local knowledge no matter where you hunt, but when the trip is roughly a 49 hour drive away its critical. Eric is an Iowa transplant that spends lots of days each year chasing Ptarmigan and other game birds, when he isnt chasing salmon, trout, bear, or caribou.

This one may have parts that are a bit on the adult side. There is an audible decline in sobriety but was also an absolute blast. I hope you all enjoy this one. The Newmarkers are 4th generation Nevadans. Jace is 8 years old and seriously has probably hunted more Chukars than 95% of hunters. He has had a great season and they are here to tell us about it!

Matt and I chat about everything from Final Rise vests to Chukar hunting. We even dip our toes into big game hunting. Matt is one of the good guys of the industry and its long overdue to have him on the podcast.

Chris is one of my TV icons! He has been a main stay on outdoors television for over 20 years. We chat about bird hunting all over the world as well as chasing dangerous game. This one isnt to be missed!

Ive been getting blown up asking about the numbers here in AZ this season. Here is my conclusion after the first two weeks.

Sorry for the long delay between podcasts. Ill be putting out an extra one or two over the next few weeks. Arizona has been rough on me so far this year. Both me and the dogs are sore and tired, but we are having a blast! Quail numbers are still a bit of a mystery. Mearns country has covey like I've never seen before between that and tough scenting conditions has made it hard. But when we find coveys they have been HUGE. This is one of my favorite episodes Ive ever done. Travis is the host of the Flush TV show and has become a great friend. His stories of his little puppy from last season to where she is now is a story everyone needs to hear.

I have been getting messages like crazy the last few weeks on how birds are dealing with the drought....here is that answer. The other question I have been getting a lot is what I am looking for when I am out hunting Sharp-tails. I did an episode a few years back answering these questions but with all the new listeners I figured Id answer them again.

As season rapidly approaches I decided to do an extra episode each week highlighting a gear company that makes product I use. This week with early goose season only weeks away DiveBomb was an obvious choice.
