Its nice to have some local knowledge no matter where you hunt, but when the trip is roughly a 49 hour drive away its critical. Eric is an Iowa transplant that spends lots of days each year chasing Ptarmigan and other game birds, when he isnt chasing salmon, trout, bear, or caribou.

This one may have parts that are a bit on the adult side. There is an audible decline in sobriety but was also an absolute blast. I hope you all enjoy this one. The Newmarkers are 4th generation Nevadans. Jace is 8 years old and seriously has probably hunted more Chukars than 95% of hunters. He has had a great season and they are here to tell us about it!

Matt and I chat about everything from Final Rise vests to Chukar hunting. We even dip our toes into big game hunting. Matt is one of the good guys of the industry and its long overdue to have him on the podcast.

Chris is one of my TV icons! He has been a main stay on outdoors television for over 20 years. We chat about bird hunting all over the world as well as chasing dangerous game. This one isnt to be missed!

Ive been getting blown up asking about the numbers here in AZ this season. Here is my conclusion after the first two weeks.

Sorry for the long delay between podcasts. Ill be putting out an extra one or two over the next few weeks. Arizona has been rough on me so far this year. Both me and the dogs are sore and tired, but we are having a blast! Quail numbers are still a bit of a mystery. Mearns country has covey like I've never seen before between that and tough scenting conditions has made it hard. But when we find coveys they have been HUGE. This is one of my favorite episodes Ive ever done. Travis is the host of the Flush TV show and has become a great friend. His stories of his little puppy from last season to where she is now is a story everyone needs to hear.

I have been getting messages like crazy the last few weeks on how birds are dealing with the drought....here is that answer. The other question I have been getting a lot is what I am looking for when I am out hunting Sharp-tails. I did an episode a few years back answering these questions but with all the new listeners I figured Id answer them again.

As season rapidly approaches I decided to do an extra episode each week highlighting a gear company that makes product I use. This week with early goose season only weeks away DiveBomb was an obvious choice.

I have been dreaming about hunting in Alaska basically my entire life! It truly is the last frontier. Eric is a hunter from Iowa originally but has been in Alaska for the last 4 years. Hope you guys enjoy hearing about his adventures and my questions about planning a trip in a year or two.
