December, 7 2025 7AM;Hegseth gave his unequivocal support of the controversial first strike in the operation which resulted in a so-called "double tap" strike that killed two shipwrecked survivors. It comes amid increasing strutiny over that September 2nd strike after lawmakers were briefed this week by Admiral Frank Bradley, and shown the full unedited video of the strike. Lt. Col. Daniel Maurer joins The Weekend to discuss the fallout of the boat strikes and Hegseth’s response.
