September 21, 2025; 9am: This week Mamdani has received support from top democrats across New York, including Rep. Yvette Clarke, Gov. Kathy Hochul, New York State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, and New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins. There are still some key holdouts who have yet to offer their endorsements, including Rep. Hakeem Jeffries and Sen. Chuck Schumer. Mamdani joins The Weekend to discuss his campaign for Mayor of New York City.
