Show Notes

January 24, 2026; 9am: A striking image of a five-year-old wearing a blue-knit bunny hat went viral this week after witnesses said he was used as “bait” to lure his father from their home. The Department of Homeland Security claimed the child was detained because he was abandoned by his father, who fled the scene – but school officials have disputed the administration's account of events. Those officials, School Superintendent Zena Stenvik and School Board Chair Mary Granlund, join “The Weekend” to describe the scene and share how ICE operations are impacting their community.
