Show Notes
Members of Philadelphia City Council have been among the most prominent voices to weigh in on the school district’s proposed facilities master plan, and earlier this week, they had a chance to share their criticism and questions with superintendent Dr. Tony Watlington Sr. during a high-stakes hearing at City Hall. While Council controls several funding mechanisms for the district, Watlington Sr. sounded confident in telling KYW Newsradio Education Reporter Mike DeNardo that the merits of the district’s proposal outweigh perceived drawbacks.
