Show Notes
Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Washington Weather Podcast — it's Wednesday, February 25th.
Step outside right now and you're looking at 34 degrees under clear skies. Peaceful. Quiet. That changes fast.
Around the Puget Sound, you start with sunshine. Then rain rolls in after 3 P.M. Temperatures climb to 50 degrees by 4 P.M. Those showers peak around 10 P.M. tonight — 40 percent chance — then taper off after 1 A.M. Overnight lows drop to 37 degrees around 5 A.M. South-southeast winds steady at 10 miles an hour all day.
Down in the South Sound? Same rain, different timing. Showers arrive around noon and wrap up by 3 P.M. You'll hit 49 degrees by 4 P.M. Tonight cools to 34 degrees around 3 A.M.
Now head east and it's a completely different world. Eastern Washington stays bone dry through the next 24 hours. Patchy fog clears by 8 A.M. Then partly sunny skies take over. Highs reach 44 degrees by 2 P.M. Tonight drops to 33 degrees around 6 A.M. Southwest winds around 10 miles an hour, gusting to 29.
Thursday brings rain likely across western Washington — 60 percent chance — with highs near 51 degrees. That wet pattern continues Friday before we catch a break. Saturday turns partly sunny and dry. Sunday? Gorgeous. Full sunshine with highs climbing to 53 degrees. That beautiful stretch holds through Monday and Tuesday, with highs reaching the mid-50s.
If you're heading out early, grab that jacket. The chill bites before the warmth kicks in.
That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
